02.00 pm.  depart to  Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol The temple was originally called "Wat Bang Tong" by the locals, named after the village where it was located. Wat Bang Tong received the royal grant of Visungkhamsima on February 13, 1953. Width 30 m. 70 meters long, made a ceremony to tie Pattasima on March 14, 1973. When Prachakhan and agencies from various sectors in Krabi province jointly organized the

"Project to Build Buddhist Sites and Phra Maha That Chedi in Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn" at this temple with the objective of honoring His Majesty the King, who was then holding the Royal Rank. On November 16, 2549, His Majesty the King gave the name of Wat Bang Tong to be renamed "Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol" and summoned the monogram "M.W.K." to be enshrined in front of the temple. While the Buddha statue of the King used the name "Phra Buddha Thaksin Chai Mongkol", "Phra Maha That Chedi" influenced by the Maha Chedi Bodh Gaya, the place where Buddha enlightened in Gaya, Bihar.
